Yahoo is a multinational online company brand known for its search engine, Yahoo Search, and the Yahoo web portal, which brings together various services, such as Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Answers and Yahoo Mail1. According to the data from Yahoo Finance, Yahoo’s annual revenue has been declining since 2014, reaching $5.2 billion in 2016. The quarterly revenue of Yahoo also dropped from $1.3 billion in the first quarter of 2016 to $833 million in the first quarter of 2017.

Yahoo has been struggling to compete with other online giants, such as Google and Facebook, and has faced several challenges, such as data breaches, management changes, and lawsuits. In 2017, Yahoo was acquired by Verizon for $4.48 billion and merged with AOL to form a new subsidiary called Oath. Oath was later rebranded as Verizon Media in 2019.
